Tripping.com UK Office
We all know the percentage of calls answered from an overseas phone number is extremely low - users are unsure of who is calling them, whether it is a spam call and if it will cost them more to answer. This was a particular problem for Tripping.com and their overseas office when making calls back to the States.
Tripping.com is the worlds largest holiday rental search engine. Based out of San Francisco and one of the latest success stories to emerge from Silicon Valley, Tripping.com’s international expansion was at a quandary when it came to telephony for international employees. In today’s world, employees are spread far and wide, yet have a need to have localised telephone number’s that provide easy contact for potential partners and suppliers.
In an ideal world, Tripping.com wanted to provide a local San Francisco DDI number for a London based employee. In addition, they also wanted to have a London DDI number too. "Could this be done and what hardware would also be required to facilitate this?” was an understandable question from the Tripping.com team.
Ripdialler, provided a straightforward solution that not only provided the San Francisco and London numbers but diverted inbound calls to the mobile of it’s London based employee. This allowed US based companies to call at a local rate, yet allow the call to be answered on a mobile in the UK. In addition, by having an “office” phone answered on the mobile too, the employee had total freedom and flexibility when working externally.
By selecting Ripdialler, it enabled Tripping.com to close a number of contracts in North America by having an “easily accessible contact with a San Francisco based company” - if only they knew they were speaking to someone in the UK at the time!
"The incredibly low International call tariffs and flexibility of being able to call anywhere, from anywhere, at any time using any phone number is a game changer" commented RIPTec´s CEO, Mark Trowbridge. Employees can be truly international, with the service, allowing people to work from literally anywhere, and because it works off the mobile network they don't have to worry about finding a WiFi hotspot or be connected to data."
